Work

oOoo.. been working for almost a month already! Well, this week has been hectic, being the coordinator for a 4 day workshop for JC students. But ok lah, better than sitting at my desk with nothing to do. Probably the most fulfilling week i have for the month that i'm here. Got to know a few Profs, some staff at Raffles Museum of Biodiversity Research, some lab tech and 3 Medicine students who were here to help me! All nice people! Have always thought Profs are dao peeps but i was quite wrong lah. Actually i realise people who work in NUS are pretty friendly. Always willing to help. :)

Realised that i have a lot to learn while working in the office because many minor things like binding papers, operating the photostating machine, printing labels, those nitty gritty stuff that you dont learn in sch, i everything also dunnoe! haha, thinking back, i forgot how to print labels already. OOPS! it dawned on me when i saw one of the manager of the office binding some documents herself that all these skills are so impt to acquire before you enter the working world. however, i'm also quite glad that i took up ES2007S Professional Communication and also by organising NUS Biathlon 06, there were some communication skills i've already acquired. so i'm left pretty much with the technical skills. bleah. oh and harhar and i were fascinated by how much stationary an office can have! oooolala!

my sister just applied for a 9 month no-pay leave to take care of AIDEN BEH CHANG JUN. her table already got a temp there already she better pray she dont lose her job here.

Astrobash @ Pulau Tinggi
FUN! FUN! FUN! but snorkeling could have been better coz the sea was a little bit murky. the clearer waters had urchins so eew. and then the JELLYFISH. hell was i scared! see one, stall, turn back and swam as fast away from it as possible. haha. BIG ok! but i was quite glad i met a few. speaking of glad, we met some nemos too. one was OMG tiny. oh we met sea cucumbers too! yupyupyup.. so next up, dolphins and sharks. snorkeling trip again PLS PLS PLS!

The stars there were no-words-can-describe. PRETTY i thought was too bland. haha. singapore your skyline suck lah. haha. Want to learn more so i guess i may go for the next astrobash. this time we gazed at the summer sky so the one happening in dec will be a winter sky. different stars! i was looking for the orion belt in the summer sky but apparently they can only be seen in the winter sky. correct rite? HAHAHAHA. anyway we were given star charts and had to look for the shapes corresponding to the chart. BUT the whole sky was filled with stars and i had difficulty making out the different shapes. hahahahaa. managed to catch meteors shooting across the night sky. its a half a second sort of thing so you have to stare at the sky for maybe a full 15 mins in order to catch one. oh and on the second night we got to see the milky way!!! its..milky..yeah.. a white faint strip across the sky filled with stars! spectacular!

haha the resort that we stayed in, Dreamz Island Resort, looked so nice in their brochures, but when we got there, we were the only group. what the?!?! ahaha. resort looks ok in their exterior but work needs to be done interiorly.

photos later k if i rmb. haven even upload coz my comp still stuck at HP. its mother sick need to change but no stock. ~_-"

World Cup
For me, i watch it MAINLY for the good looks. but i also admire pple like ronaldhino, park ji sung etc who pple consider them to be got-talent-no looks. anyway, till date, the best game i watched was....erm, ok how abt the best team.. spain and korea! i love the way spain kept attacking eventhough they scored enough to sit back and relag and korea for being an asian team, of coz with handsome ahn jung hwan scoring the winning goal and cutie-JJ Lin-lookalike lee chun soo's beautiful penalty. hehe. in the process of increasing my collection of good looking and got-talent-no looks players, i'm learning to look out for offsides. HAHAHHAAA. yalah yalah yalah! i seriously cmi.

To those who dont like the insect-lookalike nerdy peter crouch from england: give him a chance ok! he scored against trinidad yest! first goal of the competition! come on! “It’s great to be at the World Cup and playing alongside the likes of David Beckham. He put in a great cross and all I had to do was get my head on it,” said the ever-modest Crouch. HAHAHAA. see! he's so nice! too bad he didnt do the robot dance!

okie lah these are the major updates from me.

oh have i mentioned i'm gonna change the blogskin again. aiyar u look to your right. you must scroll down to the end and then scroll to the right to read properly. MA HUAN i dont like! but now i abit the lazy so next time when i have mood. hohoho.
