Commencement! Convocation! Graduation! Whatever you call it. Haha.

Simple ceremony so I will comment as I go along with the pics!

First up, my first friends in Uni! In particular Zhenglin and the bitchy Mingxian! I wont forget the times we had on our 2 Scamps (Scamp = Science Camp) and our bitching sessions! Kaiyi who has stuck with me for sooooo long, all the way from sec sch! Harhar who has been through all that I have in Uni! Zhenglin who's undying wish for me to get off the "shelf" ASAP and of coz not forgetting me when he print extra notes (sometimes only)! HAAA! Love you all!

And then here comes the Seafood ("Shifu") Gang. Nope, we dont love seafood. But they were the peeps who helped me through my years in Life Science! Without them, especially Seafood and Grandmaster, I wouldnt have gotten my merit I think! You both inspired me to work hard for the last 2 years! Not forgetting Kaiqin who brought great laughs around the table during our makan sessions. Oh and his help with me and Har's plant physio project! I remembered he stayed back and help us weigh the dry weights of our maize leaves! WAAAHAHAHAHA!! Love you all!

Perry and Elene! If not for them, I wouldnt be financially sound during my uni days! HAHAHA.

Ok. Here are the peeps I definitely wont forget too coz we "played and played together in Sydney and still able to get high distinctions for our modules!" - Daniel Wong. HAHAHA. Thats Daniel, Jeffrey, Jonathan, Zhenglin, Daniel throwing his motar-frisbee and 3 of us doing our "Aussie Jump"! I'll definitely and surely treasure and hold very very dear to my heart the times when I was in Sydney. I am still missing it but not as bad anymore. Love you all! Love Sydney!

And here are the 2 girls (Har and Xian) who have been through what i been through in NUS ( and of coz must + GRACE TAN LITING - WHERE ARE YOU! and BERBER KHOO in some of them!!!). Netball Recre, Sports Club, Bioinformatics Project, working for Dean's Office etc etc etc etc etc!!! Everything~! We survived girls! YEAiiii! HAAA! And the bottom pic portrays us as S.H.Y! Shuping, HarHar, Yingxian! Ultra love you all lah!

Here's me with my JC classmates. Xiao Tian, Jialin and Seetoh!!! Missing my JC days already!

Cannot graduate properly without the motar-throwing session! Look at our expressions if you can see. HAHAHAHAHA. There's one that's damn funny but I wont say who! HOHoHOHooo!

Here's me receiving the scroll from The Science Dean, Prof Andrew Wee! That's off the big screen lah, my father couldnt get a good shot of me. Too tiny on stage. HAHAHA.

Of coz, without my parents, I wouldnt have made it to Uni.

Love this pic coz it's so 'together'. HAHA.

Each and everyone of them (some left already) have actually impacted my life in NUS. Love you all once again!

Recently finished this book: While I Was Gone by Sue Miller.

Quite a good read although I was quite confused at the ending.

About the book:

In the summer of 1968, Jo Becker ran out on the marriage and the life her parents wanted for her, and escaped--for one beautiful, idyllic year--into a life that was bohemian and romantic, living under an assumed name in a rambling group house in Cambridge. It was a time of limitless possibility, but it ended in a single instant when Jo returned home one night to find her best friend lying dead in a pool of blood on the living room floor. Now Jo has everything she's ever wanted: a veterinary practice she loves, a devoted husband, three grown daughters, a beautiful Massachusetts farmhouse. And if occasionally she feels a stranger to herself and wonders what happened to the freedom she once felt, or how she came to be the wife, mother, and doctor her neighbors know and trust--if at times she feels as if her whole life is vanishing behind her as she's living it--she need only look at her daughters or her husband, Daniel, to recall the satisfactions of family and community and marriage. But when an old housemate settles in her small town, the fabric of Jo's life begins to unravel: seduced again by the enticing possibility of another self and another life, she begins a dangerous flirtation that returns her to the darkest moment of her past and imperils all she loves.

Here are some phrases/excerpts from the book that I managed to capture before I returned it.

"Perhaps it's best to live with the possibility that around any corner, at any time, may come the person who reminds you of your capacity to surprise yourself, to put at risk everything that's dear to you, who reminds you of the distances we have to bridge to begin to know anything about one another, who reminds you that what seems to be even about yourself may not be."

"I would sweep too much of (his) pain aside because I so wanted it to be over..."

"Is it by will then, that we are who we are? Do we decide, do we make ourselves after a certain point in life?"
